Useful Hacks
Reinstalled/broken a player and need to bind it again.
It is not necessary to add a new device in the interface. Just deactivate the old one, and after binding the player, all advertising campaigns will be loaded onto it.
Need to add another player with the same advertising campaigns as on another player.
Simply clone one of the existing players. The clone will receive all the properties and campaigns of the original.
How to target fillers by device groups?
Fillers without tags will be broadcast on all devices. If a filler has a tag, it will be broadcast 🛑 only on devices with the same tag.
- Go to the device — click edit. Then click the "add tag" button.
- Go to Settings → Fillers. Select a filler, click "edit". Then click the "add tag" button.
Important! If a new filler is added, click "update all devices" so devices receive the new content. If not done, devices will synchronize only when editing/creating an ad campaign or during scheduled nightly sync.
Why specify explicit screen resolution in pixels?
This is not mandatory but recommended for screens with non-standard resolutions. Standard resolutions are 1920x1080 and 1080x1920.
This option is needed so the system knows the screen resolution when routing multi-version content, and also for working with the programmatic platform Oohdesk CMS RTB.
If the resolution is not explicitly set, the Oohdesk CMS RTB platform assumes the resolution is 1920x1080 or 1080x1920 (depending on the set orientation: portrait/landscape).
What is a planogram when creating an ad campaign?
When creating ad campaigns, it is important to know if airtime is available on each date and device. The planogram shows this.
If there is a green square in the planogram, it means the campaign can be placed on that day on that device. A red square means there is no free airtime on that day/device.
Important! If your campaign is scheduled on days with red squares, even if you delete other campaigns from that device, the campaign will not play on those days.
To allow the campaign to start playing on those days if airtime becomes free, enable the Auto-fill option.

How does competitor ad separation work?
In Oohdesk CMS, playlists are generated by a robot based on your campaign parameters, not by an operator. Sometimes ads from competing advertisers may be placed next to each other.
To avoid this, there are algorithms to separate competitor ads by different advertisers or fillers. For this mechanism to work, you need to assign the same tag to competitor ads.
Go to the advertiser’s folder, select an ad, click "edit", and add a tag (e.g., "telecom operator"). Do the same for all competitor ads — all competitor ads should have the tag "telecom operator".
Important! The nature of tags for advertiser content and filler tags is different. Advertiser tags serve to separate competitors in the ad block, while filler tags are used to target fillers by players.
