Installation and Setup of WebOS
Description
WebOS. LG professional panels with a built-in player (System on Chip).
Supported Devices:
- WebOS 2.0: SM5B, SM3B, and others
- WebOS 3.0: SM3C, SM5C, SM5KC, UH5C, 65EE5PC, 55EF5C, 55EV5C, 55EH5C, 55EJ5C, 65EV5C, LS73C, LS75C, LS73D, 55XE3C, 75XF3C, 75XS2C
- WebOS 3.2: SM5D, SM5KD, 86TR3D, 55EG5CD, 55EJ5D, WP320
- WebOS 4.0: SM5KE, SH7E
Initial Setup
If the device is being started for the first time (never used before), a setup wizard should appear (a greeting with language, country, and time zone selection).
First power-on of the device (new device)
On the first power-on, you need to configure basic parameters such as language, operation mode, and playback method using the setup wizard.
For panels based on WebOS 2.0, it is also necessary to disable automatic shutdown after 4 hours of operation:
WebOS 2.0 / WebOS 3.0
On the remote control, press the "Home" button and select System Information/Information.
WebOS 3.2 / WebOS 4.0
On the remote control, press the "Home" button and select the S/W Version tile.
Be sure to set the correct time or use an NTP Server.
NTP Setup:
- Press the Settings button on the remote control
- Go to General -> Time & Date
- Select Set Automatically
Application Installation

On the remote control, quickly enter the combination 8080 + "OK" button. On WebOS2, hold the "settings" button until a notification appears in the upper right corner of the screen, then enter 8080 + "OK".

Select EZ SETTINGS -> SI Server Settings.

- Select SI Server Settings.

- Fill in the parameters as shown in the image, replacing the application address with https://visiobox.cloud/com.lg.app.signage.ipk (or the one specified in the "setup-distributions" section if you are using a server other than visiobox).

Select Local Application Upgrade: Remote.

Wait for the application to update.

Restart the professional panel.
Factory Reset of the Panel
- Press SETTINGS on the remote control.
- In the opened menu, select the Admin tab.
- Switch the toggle from OFF to ON. The system will ask for a password, default is 0000.
- Select factory reset - confirm.
!!! If during downloading and installation you get a "Black screen after installation and first application launch," check that the time on the professional panel is set correctly.
Firmware Update (relevant for WebOS 3.2)
- Download the official firmware from LG’s website or the link provided by Oohdesk CMS representatives.
- Create a folder named LG_MONITOR on a USB flash drive and transfer the firmware into this folder.
- Insert the flash drive into the panel, go to the menu General, then press the number 7 on the remote control seven times.
- Go to the firmware update menu, select the update file to install.
- Press UPDATE.
Important!!!
- If you want to downgrade the firmware to an earlier version, you need to disable the Ext. MICOM toggle in the menu before updating.
